Steps To Recover Deleted Messages Using Dr.Fone On Android:

  • First, download and install ‘Dr.Fone -Recovery & Transfer wirelessly & Backup‘ Software from Play Store.
  • Now you have to enable USB debugging by going to Settings > About Phone > Build Number and tap on it 7-10 times till the dialogue box shows “You are under developer mode“. Now you will see developer option in the settings, tap on it and click USB Debugging.
  • Connect your Android phone to the PC with the help of USB.
  • The software detects your device and now you have to choose the form of data you want to recover. If you want to retrieve text messages, select Messaging and click Next.
  • The software scans for your deleted messages and displays them on the screen. Finally, you just have to click on Recover to save the files on your PC.

As shown in the screenshot, there will be a pop-up window on your phone asking for your permission. Go to the Android phone and tap “Allow/Authorize” on the pop-up window. If there is no such prompt on the device, click “Retry” to try again.
  • Now, the preview of both deleted and existing messages will be shown and are differentiated with two colors red and black. If you want to see only deleted messages, just tap ‘Only display the deleted items‘ to ON. Click on the text messages and tap on Recover to get them back. The data will be stored on your PC.
